CHARACTERIZATION OF NON-LINEAR OSCILLETAOR VIA ACCELEROMETER
For this project, our team planned and implemented a measurement system, from transducer to digitization, which measured the temporal response and frequency response of a mechanical 2ndorder oscillator.

Results
Determined the spring constant of the spring used in the oscillator directly via a static deflection. Determine the natural frequency of the upper mass using the spring constant found before. Double checked this natural frequency using the damping envelope(damping ratio, damping constant and the critical damping constant). Measured the frequency response of the oscillator. Weighted Linear Regression Calibration performed for the accelerometer. Converted voltage to acceleration using the calibration obtained before. Performed two integrations in Mat Lab using Cumtrapz2 to obtained the displacement. Used a High Pass Filter to eliminate noise.
